Review
No matter the type of property being appraised, a commercial appraisal report needs to collect a large variety of data, tables, photos and other content. The easiest way we’ve found to get things that are not already in a file is with Snagit. This is an inexpensive tool you install on your computer and it allows you to draw a box around anything and collect that as an image. It’s really handy for incorporating small tables or graphs in a report but options are limited only by your imagination.
But as with everything, be careful not to “snag” any copyrighted or proprietary data. Also, this tool is really only needed for Windows PC users. Those of us on a Mac will know the Grab utility that’s part of the Mac OS does the same thing for free, if not quite as slick.
