He has always enjoyed learning about the way things work. Mike would often take his toys apart as a kid to learn more about how they worked. As he grew up, he got better and better at putting them back together again. This led to his career path as first a mechanical engineer then a software engineer. With a bachelor’s in computer information systems, Mike enjoys utilizing his skills as an engineer to solve unique and complex problems within the digital space. He is driven by a love of seeking out industry problems and figuring out how he can use his skills to help solve him.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the realquantum product development team, he works closely with CTO Dan Wieschhaus to finalize designs for new features before building the software. Since joining the team, he has helped implement multiple improvements in the software development process that help everyone work more efficiently. He also serves as a mentor to junior software developers.

Outside of work Mike is still a problem solver. He is a strength coach and competitive strength athlete. There, Mike uses his problem-solving skills to help himself and others improve their overall strength and physical fitness. He’s become an expert at learning how to teach the body to “fight gravity” as he would say. When not working or training, Mike is a family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife Abby and 3-year-old son. They also have two bulldogs, appropriately named Atlas and Titan.
